Client:
The Canadian Building Association
Brief:
A group of 220 members from the Canadian Building Association required an exclusive venue for their annual meeting. Access to an international airport was essential.
A key element of the programme was a team activity suitable for a group of 200+ and one that was in keeping with the surroundings..
Action:
The venue chosen was a castle in Ireland, Dromoland Castle, located near Shannon International Airport.
We developed a medieval day which involved the recreation of a medieval village on the grounds of the castle. The group was divided into 22 teams each with a different colour tunic. Activities included archery, lute playing, jousting, juggling, falconry as well as a medieval challenge involving painting of a team coat of arms.
Result:
Perfect weather and magnificent surroundings provided the ideal backdrop for this medieval event which fulfilled the company objective of cross functional team building, and which resulted in a marked improvement in cross-functional project delivery in the months after the event.
