FC BARCELONA COMPLETES SATISFYING WEEK AT ST ANDREWS
FC Barcelona returned home on Saturday evening, July 26th, after the club’s second successive pre-season training camp in Scotland. The Catalan giants completed a full training week at the St Andrews University training complex in the historic Fife town and played two friendly matches against SPL opposition. On Thursday, July 24th, FC Barcelona emphatically beat Hibernian 6-0 at Murrayfield and were equally convincing at Tannadice on Saturday, July 26th, running out 5-1 victors against hosts Dundee United.
The entire week’s operations were, once again, organised and managed by PLATINUM ONE – Official Pre-Season Partner of FC Barcelona.
New club manager Josep Guardiola left St Andrews full of optimism for the season ahead. "There was a good feeling about the game and the week has been excellent. We have done things that we have been working on and everyone did very well throughout. We have only played two games and it is not normal to win 6-0 and 5-1", he said.
The sizeable first team squad that came to Scotland was accompanied throughout by the President of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta, and several club directors.
PLATINUM ONE looks forward to working with FC Barcelona again next year and further developing the successful commercial relationship that has been created over the last two years.
