Gavin Hastings
Gavin’s love affair with sport and business continues as he chairs PLATINUM ONE’S Scottish Office from the golf course, rugby field and occasionally the boardroom. He has worked with major projects in golf and rugby including bringing the Ryder Cup to Scotland in 2014 and with Rugby World Cup sponsors in Wales, Australia and France and looks forward to returning to his playing days when the Golden Oldies World Rugby Festival comes to Edinburgh this September.
He is currently Chairman of Edinburgh Rugby and has big plans for them becoming one of Europe’s top teams. Family and golf contribute to a busy schedule which keep his hair a healthy shade of grey.

Simon Webster
Simon joins PLATINUM ONE as Sports Director responsible for the strategic growth of the Group’s sports sponsorship acquisition and fulfilment projects. Operating throughout the UK and Ireland, Simon has a specific development and delivery brief to research and network within the sponsorship market in the UK, with particular focus on the delivery of and assistance with the activation and brokering of major sports sponsorship deals.
With a thorough sales and marketing background spanning over 15 years, Simon was previously Group Sales Director of the AIM listed marketing & events company Real Affinity Plc and before that Head of Commercial at Leeds United for over 5 years where he was responsible for all Commercial revenue streams including the brokerage and activation of all major sponsorship and affinity deals.
Simon’s enjoys travel, football, live music, scuba diving (warm water only) and most recently cycling. A keen Leeds United fan, he has also recently begun training for next years London Marathon although he openly admits that he doesn’t consider either of these to be ‘fun’.
